Dr. Weinshelbaum received her medical degree from the University of Chicago where she was awarded the American Medical Women’s Association Award for Scholastic Achievement and was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha National Honor Medical Society. Her Diagnostic Radiology residence was completed at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, Florida.
She established the area’s first diagnostic mammography center giving same-day results to patients, incorporating breast ultrasound and case-appropriate stereotactic and ultrasound core breast biopsy, and more recently providing digital breast tomosynthesis (3-D breast imaging) for every patient.
Dr. Weinshelbaum is Board Certified by the American College of Radiology in Diagnostic Radiology, is a Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology, and is a member of the Society of Breast Imaging and the Radiological Society of North America.
